Handmade Tipi's by fibers artist Jenny Little

Prepare yourself to be swept away by the inspired work of artist Jenny Little.
Best known at shopSCAD for her urban-chic clothing worn by LA celebs such as Chris Martin of indie band Coldplay. She is now applying her signature layers of original screen-printed natured based imagery onto bigger things
- a handmade tipi collection debuting here for the first time!

Guaranteed to make you feel like a kid again, she calls this newest endeavor

Take a look and dream with me as you read about her inspiration!

"Drawing from our love and reverence of the native American culture, our collection is inspired by the Hopi word for shelter."

Our tipi's are made to be portable dwellings for the time in the day
when everyone just needs a little bit of enchanting shelter

These beauties look great and cozy in your home or out in the WILD!

Tipi’s are all hand-sewn, hand screen-printed in the USA
on super-soft gorgeous French canvas
that is not heavy-weight at all so the light comes through it beautifully.

Our bamboo is sustainable and locally sourced, because this is a natural material over time it will weather and age. In our humble opinion it turns a beautiful natural wood color which is rather becoming.

The tipi's are great as art pieces, for kid’s playrooms, weddings
really anything that needs a little extra magic

Please hand wash, delicate cycle machine wash if you must!

Each tipi is handmade, therefore each one will be unique with a different print. Custom designs are available please contact shopSCAD to arrange. Price for tipi's: 4' x 4' , $400 and 6' x 6', $600

The tipi's were created after a conversation Jenny had with her beloved best friend Stephanie Baize right after she moved back home to Texas. She kept thinking about what it meant to move back to the place she was from and how going back inside/home can be very healing. The two worked together to find an amazing seamstress named Blanca to help with construction.  Next they enlisted the help of photographer Carli Kiene from Inked Fingers in Austin, who immediately understood her fabulous styling ideas for the tipi shoot. The name hunters and rainbows came from when she was into Indian princesses with her Dad growing up, Indian princess is like a father and daughter bonding thing and his name was happy hunter and she was/is Happy Rainbow!

Jenny's work has been featured magazines and blogs such as Details, Washington Post, NY Magazine, Gen Art, Venus and Design Sponge.

"Aside from creating these dreamy tipi's I have been busy teaching textiles, doing tons of yoga and creating the most awesome food fantasies with my Dad!  P.S. food fantasies are when we look at food blogs, drool and then cook for hours and then style the food!"
